Wike, Ready To Fight Crime – Commissioner

Commissioner for Works, Hon. Bathuel Iheanyichukwu Harrison, has reiterated that Governor Nyesom Wike is poised to fight crime and criminality in the State.
The Commissioner stated this in his office when 1986 set of Baptist High School Old Boys Association, Port Harcourt paid him a courtesy visit.
Hon. Harrison noted that no administration achieves its goals in the midst of crises, and called on groups to stand and give full support to Governor Wike to restore peace and stability in the State.
“He has done much in one year in infrastructural development amongst others, it is our duty to support in preaching peace to help him achieve more.
“As an individual or corporate bodies, when placed in any position that will be of help to others, let such position be utilised in the service of humanity. I will do my best as Commissioner to work for the people of Rivers State, by my orientation it is not by power but God who strengthens me,” he said.
Hon. Harrison also thanked his Alma-mater for identifying with him in his appointment as Works Commissioner in Rivers State and pledged to make Baptist High School Old Boys proud in the discharge of his duties.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation and then senior prefect of 1986 set of Baptist High School (BHS) Port Harcourt, Engr. Olali Stephen-Gow said it was a thing of joy to felicitate with their classmate on his appointment as Commissioner for Works, Rivers State, adding that their mission was to support and encourage him in the task ahead.
Engr. Stephen-Gow lauded Governor Nyesom Wike for appointing five of the old boys into his cabinet, noting that four out of the five appointees came from the 1986 set of the Old Boys of BHS Port Harcourt.
“We are happy for success recoded in this administration and pray that this will continue,” he added.
In his vote of thanks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. James Enebeli thanked the BHS Old Boys for their encouragement and support for the Commissioner and the entire Ministry, saying “we are grateful that you acknowledge him still as one of you way back in school.”
