RSUST New VC Promises Quality Service

lor of Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), Prof Blessing C. Didia, has promised to deliver quality service in line with the Act establishing the institution.
Didia made the promise after a thanksgiving service in his honour at his home town, Omerelu in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state.
The RSUST VC said besides the institution’s Act as a guide, he would work towards achieving the vision of Governor Nyesom Wike for the university.
According to him, programmes would be strengthened so as to meet the best international standard of running universities.
Didia who is also a Knight in the Anglican Communion, said that teamwork would be encouraged in a bid to tackle the huge task ahead in university administration.
He noted that efforts would also be made to improve on the projects on ground so as to match the governor’s vision.
The RSUST VC, however, told his kith and kins that his appointment was for the benefit of all and promised to live up to expectations in delivering service to the people.
Explaining the motive behind his thanksgiving, he said it was his usual way of commencing any new assignment entrusted on him, saying he must seek God’s face first.
While thanking all for their concern, he re-assured them of running an all-inclusive government that would impact positively on every life in the campus.
Governor Wike announced the appointment of Prof Didia as acting VC of RSUST at the expiration of the tenure of Prof B.B. Fakae.
