OPM: Jubilation As Wike Approves Land, Building Plan
The Rivers State Governor Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has approved the building plan for the constrution of a church auditorium and other buildings by the Omega Power Ministry (OPM) at Mbodo Aluu in the Ikwerre Local government Area.
The approval was in fulfilment of the electioneering campaign promises of the Governor to OPM .
The approval was contained in a letter signed by the Administrator of Greater Port Harcourt Development Authority (GPHDA), Ambassador Desmond Akawor and conveyed to the General Overseer of the Ministry, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, through one Mr Princewill Nwaobilor.
The letter was entitled Approval of Building plan in Respect of Development of a church auditorium along Ada-George road, Mbodo Aluu”
Government’s letter conveying the approval reads thus: “We are pleased to inform you that the authority has approved your building plan for the construction of your church auditorium within the limits of your land approved for development at the above mentioned location in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State. Four signed and sealed copies of your building plan are enclosed for your information and record.”
The letter, however, advised the Omega Power Ministry to ensure that any development on the land is in accordance with the approval granted.
Meanwhile, the approval has since elicited wide jubilations among the rank and files of members of the ministry.
When The Tide visited OPM’s headquarters along G.U. Ake road last Sunday, members were seen in jubilation mood. The media officer of OPM, Mr Gogo-Ogate Isaiah, explained that the land situated along Mbodo Aluu was acquired by the church for the church multi-faceted skills acquisition centre, free Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools, free hospital, free restaurant, the church auditorium and described it as a vision the OPM general overseer engaged in for the service of mankind and the downtrodden.
