Multi-Choice Seeks Working Synergy With CPC
The promoters of
DSTV, Multi-choice Nigeria Limited, has sought a working relationship with the Consumers’ Protection Council (CPC).
In a statement on Monday by the company’s Public Relations Manager, Caroline Oghuma, it said the company recognises the role of the CPC as a statutory body established by law to ensure the respect of consumer rights in the country.
Oghuma ,the pay-TV provider is ready and willing to cooperate fully with the CPC in all ramification to protect consumer rights.
She said the company put premium on its relationship with their subscribers to ensure the effective protection of their rights without violations.
The company spokesperson said the company welcomes any inquiry into its operations and assured the council of its full cooperation at every step of the inquiry, stressing that the company would embrace any regulatory agency’s intervention that would lead to a better customer synergy with the company.
However, the CPC has recently announced its intention to probe the pay television company over an alleged consumer rights violation in the country.
Multi-choice, with its headquarters in South Africa, has been accused by Nigerian customers of an alleged arbitrary increase in the payment of TV Channel Price despite court order stopping such increment without due process.
