Kattey Tasks New Knights Exco On Effective Leadership
The Archbishop, Province
of Niger Delta and Bishop, Diocese of Niger Delta North, Most Rev Ignatius O. Kattey has commended the new executive of the Diocesan Council of Knights but charged them to brace up to give greater service to God and humanity.
Archbishop Kattey gave the charge at the inauguration of the new executive of the Diocesan Council of Knights at a special thanksgiving service to celebrate the 2015 Synod of the Diocese last Sunday at St John’s (Ang) Church, Rumueme Deanery.
He reminded the new leadership of the Knights Council that they were called for service and urged them to live up to the trust of the people.
He said the task ahead of the new executive may be challenging, he was optimistic that with team work and collective responsibility, the council will make meaningful contributions in the house of God.
While the Archbishop noted that the new leadership of the Knights Council is poised for action, he called on well meaning individuals to support them to be tools in promoting the work of God.
The newly elected officers of the Diocesan Council of Knights include Sir Polycarp Ndounteng-President, Sir Chuks Boms –Vice President, Sir Sam Eleonu-General Secretary and Sir Paul Maah-Assistant Secretary. The rest are Sir Oliver Okeah-Financial Secretary, Dame Love Wodi-Treasurer, Dame Tonye Donbraye – Public Relations Officer, while Sir Benjamin Epelle and Sir Tobin Dibia were elected Provosts I and II respectively.
