Business Provider Restates Commitment To Enhance Shareholder Value

Solutions, a national e-business provider, has restated its commitment to enhanced shareholders value by expanding its operations to Kenya and Senegal in 2015.
The Group Managing Director, Mr Adebola Akindele, disclosed the company’s next business strategy at its recent “Facts Behind The Figures,” held at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in Lagos.
Akindele said that the company had concluded plans to increase its visibility across the sub-Saharan African by establishing operations in Kenya and Senegal.
According to him, the company currently operates in Jamaica, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Nigeria and Zimbabwe.
He said that the company would continue with its accelerated expansion into the African and Caribbean market to remain number one in the industry.
Akindele said that the company would expand its autoreg motor vehicle administration documentation (MVAD) franchise to other states in the country.
He also said that the autoreg platform rose to 21 states in 2014 from 19 states in 2013, adding that the company was targeting to cover 25 states by the end of 2015.
The group managing director said that the company was committed full diversification and enhancement of e-business solution development.
Earlier, NSE Chief Executive Officer, Mr Oscar Onyema, said that the facts behind the figures provided insight on the company’s operations.
Onyema, who was represented by Executive Director, Business Development, Mr Haruna Jalo-Waziri, said that the company had maintained good corporate governance since its listing.
He urged the company to be prompt in releasing information as the market remains largely information driven.
A breakdown of the company’s in the first quarter ended March 31, 2015 posted a turnover of N358.35 million against N313.01 million recorded in the corresponding period of 2014, an increase of 14.48 per cent.
Profit before tax stood at N105.51 million compared with N112.74 million achieved in 2014, a decrease of 6.41 per cent.
Also, profit after tax dropped to N81.27 million in contrast with N86.84 million declared in 2014, a decrease of 6.41 per cent.
The group managing director attributed the poor performance to elections anxieties which affected the company’s operations.
