Don Tasks Nigerians On Sustainable Entrepreneurial Dev
A lecturer, Dr Emma Eli has
tasked the Nigerian Public, particularly the business community and that of the tertiary institutions to evolve sustainable strategies for development of youth entrepreneurship.
Eli who was speaking to The Tide in an interaction on his arrival to Port Harcourt on Wednesday said that entrepreneurial development was cardinal to national growth and must be pursued diligently.
He said that government, through the right agencies, especially those engaged in the training of youths should come up with a holistic approach to address the issue of unemployment through entrepreneurship for rapid economic growth.
Eli, who is an electrical / electronics engineer by training, and a lecturer at the Yaba College of Technology urged Nigerian Universities to always pursue goals that would facilitate unity, growth and corporate existence of Nigeria.
The electric engineer, who is also an indigene of Rivers State charged some universities that have begun such entrepreneurship training to sustain such effort in training young Nigerians who would in turn use their ability to contribute to national growth and development.
He said that he was in Port Harcourt for sensitsation visit on entrepreneurial development, which will take him to visit some establishments and institutions in the state.
“I urge institutions, especially the specialized institutions to let their training be relevant to the competitive labour market and entrepreneurial space that our growing ecnomy provides”, he said.
