The Director of the command, MrLasa Baba stated this while parading five suspected robbers who early last month killed the Administrative Officer of the Bayelsa State Independent Electoral Commission, Chief Simeon Akpene.
Mr Baba revealed that following reports of the murder the command swang into action to apprehend the perpetrator of the crime and the motive

He stated that the investigation revealed that between 6 and 8 pm at Biogbololo Community School, Freedom allen, Kurotimi Clarkson Okilo and one Ebi also known as Omega who is still at larged carried out a robbery operation.
Around 8 pm, on the fateful day, they boarded a keke to Otiotio road to find a victim to rob, and as fate would have it when they arrived at the Bethel Church Close, they saw a flashy car driving into the lose and they followed the vehicle as they believed the recupant must have money on.
However, they blocked the victim as he came down in front of his house, searched and clloected his GSM phone before they killed him.
According to DSS reports Okilo who cllected the phone sold it to Abubakar Ibrahim at only N5,000, who later resold it to SallauHalladu for N6,000, whom the phone was recovered from.
It was further revealed further invesigation led to the arrest of Simeon Macauley who is in businness of selling stolen phones.
The command said arrangements had been conlcuded to charge all the suspects to the court for prosecution, warning that command in collaboratio with other security agencies had declared total war on criminal element in the state.
He therefore warned members of the public to desist from patroising dealers of fairly used mobile phones as such phones might have been stolen.
