Monarch Hails Fakae, Other Ogonis In Public Service
The Chairman of Rivers
State Council of Traditional Rulers and President, Supreme Council of Ogoni Traditional Rulers, King Godwin.N.K Gininwa, has commended the Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Professor Barineme Fakae for his hard work, commitment and dedication to restore the lost glory of the university.
Gininwa who was full of appreciation in a media chat at the 26th convocation ceremony of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, said that “Ogoni people are wonderful performers,” while commending Professor Fakae for “showing high level of integrity in the running of the university affairs which has transformed the institution to a world class university”
He urged those in positions of authority to “always be honest and exhibit strong moral principle in discharging their duties, which Prof. Fakae stands for.”
Speaking on the past and present position of the institution, Gininwa noted that the university has come out of the woods, back on track and on a steady path of progress with its energies redirected to the realisation of the dreams of the founding fathers, stressing that his (Fakae’s) administration has brought smiles on the faces of Rivers people.
He congratulated the 4,855 graduands on the successful completion of their studies and advised them not to end but to continue in their studies to attain success in life, adding that the Rivers State Government was ever ready to assist the institution to excel.
King Gininwa prayed God to continue to increase the VC, from strength to strength in wisdom to make the state university a model for others to emulate.
