Civil Service Commission Mourns Director
The Rivers State Civil
Service Commission has described as painful the death of its Director of Finance and Administration, Eze Emmanuel Eche.
The deceased, who is a native of Rumuji in the Emohua Local Government Area died recently following a protracted illness.
Chairman of the commission, Sir Ngo Martyns-Yellowe, who led other commissioners and directors to pay a condolence visit to the family of the deceased at his Port Harcourt residence said that the commission had lost a friend.
Sir Yellowe said that Chief Eche was very friendly and an easy-going man who had never betrayed the commission stressing that the commission would continue to pray for the repose of his soul as well as pray for protection of those he left behind.
He used the occasion to call on the children to continue to demonstrate the good activities of their father by being united and to accommodate all interests that would advance their family.
Also speaking, the Commissioner III Chief Bebe Okpabi, urged the children to see the death of their father as act of God saying it is only God that gives and takes life. Chief Okpabi also advised the children that, the death of their father should strengthen the unity among them stressing that anything that would create disunity among them must be avoided.
On his own part, The Commissioner IV, Hon Prince Akekue, urged the bereaved family to put their trust in God as he has solution to every problem.
Responding, the first son of the deceased, Mr Kenneth Eche, thanked the commission for indentifying with them at their moment of grief stressing that they would not let their late father down.

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
