Amaechi Congratulates Mrs Izunwa At 40
Rivers State Governor, Rt.
Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has congratulated a former Women Affairs Commissioner in the state, Mrs. Manuela Izunwa for turning 40.
Mrs. Izunwa served as commissioner in Governor Amaechi’s administration from 2009 to 2011.
Amaechi spoke at the Gateway International Church, Elioparanwo, Port Harcourt, yesterday, where the celebrant’s husband, Pastor George Izunwa is the host pastor at the church where also the celebrant’s birthday was commemorated.
He described the former women affairs commissioner as a wonderful woman.
He said: “Let me congratulate your wife (Manuela Izunwa) for turning 40. I was 40 barely nine years ago and I would leave the 40 very soon. By next year, I would have left it”.
He thanked the celebrant and her husband for praying for him and supporting his administration.
He recalled that Mrs. Izunwa expressed concern about his administration’s well-being, and urged him to finish well his administration’s numerous achievements in the state by the end of his second tenure.
“So, let me first quickly thank her and the husband for inviting me first to the occasion and also for standing by me and the government”, he said.
Amaechi noted that the celebrant and her spouse demonstrate an excellent example of any good and successful matrimony, and appealed to Mrs. Izunwa not to disappoint those for whom she has become a role model.
