I Am Fulfilled In Infrastructural Development – Amaechi
Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi says, he is a fulfilled man in the area of infrastructural development in Ikwerre Local Government (KELGA and other parts of the state.
Amaechi stated this last Sunday during the thanksgiving service organised in honour of three KELGA sons in politics, are Hon. Azubuike Wanjoku of the State House of Assembly, Welendu Amadi, KELGA boss, and Ezemonye Ezekiel-Amadi, the Commissioner for Lands and Survey at the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, St. Peters Cathedral, Diocese of Ikwerre, at Isiokpo, headquarters of Ikwerre Local Government Area.
He vowed to do more at Isiokpo by creating more link roads. “I am a self-fulfilled man in the area of infrastructural development in KELGA, unless government stops today, I will do the link roads in Isiokpo,” he said.
He challenged the people of Ikwerre local government to speak out if his administration was not fair to them, adding that he had done the expected things for them.
The governor, also explained that the aim of the new road that passes behind Isiokpo through Omagwa was to increase the value of land in that area.
He wondered why some Isiokpo people still believed that he was not fair enough to them, after all he had been doing in the area.
The state chief executive admitted that the new road would create transportation challenges in the area, hinting that plans were underway to link it with the old road.
Apart from linking the road, he said the government would soon come up with a blue-print on how to tackle the transportation challenges that may arise on completion of the new road.
He further said that Apani community will soon be connected to the national grid if report from the council headquarters was anything to go by.
Meanwhile, the Bishop of church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Diocese of Ikwerre, Bishop Blessing Enyindah has urged the governor to cross-check his records and see if there were communities that were still lagging behind in infrastructural development.
Enyindah who was happy with the governor over the level of development in state, called on Rivers people to continue to support the government so that more dividends of democracy would be delivered to them.
