RSNC Boss Commends Amaechi Over Press Freedom
The General Manager of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation, Mr. Celestine Ogolo has commended the State Governor Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for promoting press freedom in the state.
Mr. Ogolo made the commendation while presenting laptops and accessories to three staff of the corporation made available to them by the state government on Monday in Port Harcourt.
Mr. Ogolo who presented the laptops on behalf of the State Commissioner for Information and Communication Mrs. Ibim Seminitari at the award ceremony, said since the inception of the present administration, the government has given free hand to the state owned media to operate without undue influence.

He said, “Motivating staff for their hard work would bring out the best in them and its very encouraging”, while assuring that it would spur them to put in their best.
Other staffers who received the award include Abuja Bureau Chief, Mr. Justus Awaji and Kevin Nengia, a news reporter with the corporation.
