Youths Condemn Attack On NDDC Boss
Youths of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area under the aegis of Onelga Youth Council (OYC) have condemned the barrage of attack on the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Mr. Chibuzor Ugwuoha.
The youth president, Comrade Anthony Harrison who said this in an interview with newsmen at Omoku described the criticism as sectional and selfish.
The OYC President, who also described the criticism as politically motivated, contended that the presidency and the NDDC management should not be blamed, if all the programmes towards the development of the Niger Delta region are derailed.
According to him, Mr. Ugwuoha is being crucified, because he has instilled discipline and probity in the management of the affairs of the commission, pointing out that this act may not have gone well with some individuals, who see the NDDC as their constituency.
Mr. Harrison also urged that the appointment of the NDDC boss is justified as he is from the local government which is the highest producer of oil and gas in the country.
He maintained that Mr. Ugwuoha even though is of minority tribe in the region should be allowed to complete his tenure and further advised the NDDC boss to remain focus inspite of the distractions.

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
