It would be recalled that a bomb exploded on May 2 in Yenagoa while a second bomb was discovered in a Mercedes Benz 190 car parked in hotel on May 3.
The JTF spokesman, Lt.-Col. Timothy Antigha, in a telephone interview in Port Harcourt, on Tuesday that the task force had received information on the bomb explosion.
We have received reports on the bomb explosion but we believe it is within the purview of the police to handle such matters.
“We also believe the police have the capacity to deal with such situations” he said.
Antigha said JTF men and personnel are on ground in the state and other parts of the Niger Delta guiding sensitive facilities and platforms in the area.
Our men are alert to their responsibilities in the region. But we believe that the police have the capacity to handle the bomb explosion in Yenagoa.
