It was another festive period, a time to make merry. It was a day filled with events and celebrations as residents of Port Harcourt left no event centre empty as they went about, having fun on Easter day.
The ‘Chowfare’ 2019, was one of the events held on Easter day which was aimed at bringing food lovers together to exhibit the variety of food they had and most importantly to have fun.
The fun filled show was opened to everyone regardless of their age; even as some Port Harcourt based entertainers such as K.O Baba, MC Adviser, Comedian Saint Aboki, Prinx Emmanuel were present to spice up the show with jokes and other performances.
In a chat with The Tide, the organizer of the event Wobo Lucky Brown explained the purpose of the event.
“It is just about my love for food, I love food so much, so I decided to bring people who love food like me together in a place to just eat food and have fun”.
He went further to say that the event was not just about eating food, there were other side attractions like games, comedy, music performances and so on.
According to him there was no restriction to the show: “It has no age limit, as far as you love food, dress smart, love to eat and have fun”.
Also speaking, one of Port Harcourt ace comedians Saint Aboki commended the efforts of the organizer in putting such an event together.
“As you can see, the show is lively, I can see my colleagues in the industry (Comedians) and some musicians, are already on ground. This event is meant for happy people. As a comedian that I am, this to is one of such places to have fun. Kudos to Lucky Brown, the brain behind it”, Aboki said.
