Monarch Tasks Wike On Security

The Eze Ubil of Ubil Kingdom in Ahoada West Local Government Area, Eze Augustin Okpokiri has urged Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike to concentrate more on security in his second tenure.
Eze Okpokiri who said this in an exclusive interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt also stressed the need for the governor not to grant amnesty to cultists in the state.
The monarch said that having done well in infrastructures and human development the governor should now focus on bringing security to the state.
He said that insecurity is capable of limiting development in the state, stressing that the second tenure should be used to ensure security in the state.
Ikpokiri also advised the governor against further granting of amnesty to cultists, stressing that the more amnesty is granted, the more youths take to cultism.
The traditional ruler also stressed the need for people to support Neighbourhood Watch programme adding that the level of insecurity has underscored the need for people to support the Neighbourhood Watch scheme to guarantee peace and stability throughout the state.
Okpokiri used the occasion to congratulate the governor on his reelection and stressed the need for support to enable the governor do more for the state.
He also condemned members of the opposition for spreading falsehood and hatred in the state, stressing that politicians must think of the interest of the state first irrespective of their political affiliations.
