Rivers Community Installs New Monarch


There was celebration in the air amid pomp and pageantry as newly installed Paramount ruler of Rumuwokeada community of Ogbogoro town, in Obio/ Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State, Chief Sampson I. Wichegbule, took the centre stage recently, with a promise that his administration would be all inclusive.
He stated that he will place priority on security, education and economic development, adding that welfare of members of the community would take front burner of his reign.
Chief Wichegbule said this shortly after he was installed, last Saturday, at Rumuwokeada, community hall,
According to him, his administration will ensure that everybody is equal in all ramifications.
“I want to say that equality, justice, equity social welfare and fear of God shall be my watch word. Apart from that I will be gender friendly” Chief Wichegbule said.
He used the forum to commend, Mr Ezebunwo Omuna, on his appointment as the spokesman of the Rumuwokeada Administrative Council, saying that the position is well deserved.
Speaking, the head of liaison community of Rumuwokeada Administrative Council, Emmanuel I. Chuku, also stated that the coronation and installation of Chief Wichegbule, as the paramount ruler of Rumuwokeada community is worthy commendation.
“We are happy that our chief has been formally presented to Ogbogoro Council of Chiefs and elders precisely on the 5th of March 2019, after his coronation on the 2nd of March, 2019. We also want to say that his installation was meritorious” Chuku said.
According to him, he has no doubt that the paramount ruler will bring his wealth of experience to bear and move the community forward. He thanked the community of the confidence reposed in him and promised never to let them.
