The representative of Andoni/Opobo Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Awaji-Inombek Dagomie Abiante has reiterated his commitment to attracting physical development to the constituency.
The federal legislator while fielding questions from reporters in Port Harcourt, said the first tenure was aimed at making the voice of his people to be heard and to also attract meaningful development through legal legislative process.
Abiante expressed joy that the agenda of his first tenure was achieved as the constituency is now visible and quite a number of local projects had been attracted to communities across his constituency.
“This second phase will be anchored on what we term “Let Us Do More ” which was conceived out of the desire to take us beyond where we are. And what I have promised my people is if they have seen improvement in the first tenure, the second will be far better ” He said
Abiante called on the people of his constituency to work together in unity as to ensure development in their various wards.
The Federal legislator further sued for peace across the state, especially in the forthcoming coming governorship and house of assembly elections this Saturday, adding that no meaningful development can be achieved in an environment of chaos and violence.
” I want to encourage all of us to play by the rules and be peaceful. You can cast your votes for whoever you desire without violence “.
He further urged security agents to play by the rules in the forthcoming elections, noting that they are also a problem in Rivers elections as they are willing to do anything in order to fulfill the bidding of their pay masters.
Hon. Abiante further urged the people of Rivers State to come out in their numbers to decide who will take charge of governance in the state and the legislative level in the next four years.
