WAUG: Coach Lauds Players Over Victories

The head coach of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) of Ibadan Scrabble team, Adebowale Eolaham has commended his players for coming out victorious at the on going West African University Games (WAUG) after winning five medals in the tournament.
He explained that his players have been training for the past one year before the games.
Eolaham made the commendation in an exclusive interview with Tidesports on Saturday at the University of Port Harcourt Sports village after his players won two gold and three silver medals in single and double categories of the game.
“We have been training for the past one year because of the tournament “Eloaham stated.
According to him, the journey to the competition has not been easy for the students to combine both their studies and training, adding that he dedicated the medals to God.
“We prepared well so winning the gold and silver medals was the result of our preparedness” he  stated
Also speaking one of the gold medalists Chiamaka Gabriel expressed happiness for winning gold medal in the female single category.
“I put in extra time in training, when I got information about the tournament “ Gabriel said.
She thanked her Coach Adebowale Eloaham for the training he gave them.
“It was not an easy one combaning my studies and the training together “ she said.
