NIA Plans Conference In Lagos


A conference of the Nigerian Institute of Architects(NIA), featuring pre-conference exhibitions, documentaries and roundtable discussions holds on November 27, 2018 in Lagos.
Vice Chairman, NIA, Rivers State, Mr Ebiwene Bozimo disclosed this who spoke to The Tide in an interview.
Papers focusing on the challenges of national regeneration and architecture would be presented at the conference.
Bozimo stated that the conference is designed to bring members and other stakeholders in the building industry together to celebrate architecture in the country.
Bozimo said, ‘‘the conference is expected to bring together indigenous architects, researchers, practitioners and stakeholders to share new ideas, original research results and practical development experiences for critical examinations’’.
He also said the conference would provide clear cut step into new technologies and innovations, capable of producing alternative techniques.
He said the institute was poised to achieve excellence in creative management of the physical environment and mobilise informed membership for quality services, stressing that, is one of the core objectives of NIA.
The conference, which is the 58th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the institute, tagged ‘Eke 2018’, has the theme, “Architecture and National Regeneration’’.
