‘Stakeholder Drums Support For ‘ Buy Nigeria Initiative’

A stakeholder in the real estate industry Kevin Buchim has called on players in the industry to support the “Buy Nigeria’ ’Campaign.
Buchim made the call in a chat with The Tide in Port Harcourt yesterday.
The manufacturer of tiles and other ceramics noted that the call for support is necessary to promote affordable housing in the country.
Buchim also explained that patronage of made-in Nigeria products would enhance growth of the real estate sector and boost the local manufacturing sector of the economy.
He expressed optimism that patronizing locally manufactured building materials would boost government’s efforts at resuscitating locally produced materials and ensure product availability at afforablable prices, easy accessibility and better quality.
According to him’’ there is the need for professionals in the real estate industry to support the’’ Buy Nigeria’ ’initiative as this would ensure that they are putting their money in the right places, they’ ll be buying products at cheaper rates and they can easily access the products’’.
He explained that, when players in the industry support Nigerian made goods, the community of local manufacturers would in increase and the resulting effect would be more jobs and affordable houses.
