President of the Nigeria Aquatics Federation (NAF), Babatunde Fatayi-Williams, says the 8th Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Swimming Championships would hold in September.
Fatayi-Williams, however, told newsmen in  Abuja, that the Federation was yet to determine the exact date for the competition.
He said that the championships, which was earlier billed to hold in August, was postponed to give time for better preparations.
“The event is billed  to hold in for Lagos, but the host will be holding Table Tennis Classics later this month, so we decided to move the CNS event.
” The competition will feature two categories, the senior or elite category and the junior which is meant for secondary school students.
“This is to help to identify and develop new talents for the sport,” Fatayi-Williams said.
