The chairman, Caretaker Committee (CTC), of Etche Local Government Council, Hon Egbuchelem Ebereonwu, has said that security, empowerment and sanitation would be given priority attention under his administration.
Ebereonwu stated this during the swearing-in ceremony of the CTC members and other appointed officers, at Okehi, the local government council headquarters.
Stressing that he would fight insecurity to a stand still, the council boss warned criminal elements terrorising Etche to desist, relocate or be prepared to face the wrath of the law.
He thanked the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, for the opportunity to serve his people and solicited the support of Etche people to enable him serve them well.
He also charged the newly sworn-in CTC members to show commitment and dedication to duty and to always put the interest of Etche first before their own personal interest, emphasizing that the appointment as members of CTC was a call to render service to the people.
Among the CTC members sworn-in, were Hon. Mbonu Maxillinus, Hon. Ogbor Chimezie, Hon. Philip Njoku, Hon. Prince Njoku, Hon. Samuel Otamiri, Hon Carol Chichi and Hon. Abraham Sunday, while Hon. Dikachi Anyanwu and Hon. Bartho Okere were sworn-in as Secretary and Revenue Chairman, respectively.
