FAAN Boss Charges Aviation Workers On Service Delivery

The Managing Director of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Engr. Saleh Dunoma, has charged personnel of the fire fighting service and aviation security personnel to put service before everything else.
He had advised them that the ability to set priorities would determine the quality of their stewardship, even in this era of rapid socio-economic change so as to earn the respect and trust worthiness of their superiors.
Dunoma, who made the charge at the passing out parade for Aviation Security and Aerodrome Rescue and Fire fighting services personnel in Lagos, recently, noted that the airport authority would continue to train and develop capacity of it’s members of staff, in line with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Provision.
“In an era of rapid socio-economic changes, earning the respect and trustworthiness of your  superior, would demand exemplary followship qualities.
“So you  have to care for your superiors and be mature in your dealings, be receptive to their advice and accept constructive criticisms”, he said.
Dunoma, who was represented by the Authority’s Director of Maintenance and Engineering, Engr. Olufemi Ogunode, also urged the firemen and security graduands to be committed to honour, respect and devotion to duty which, according to him, must be second to none.
The event climaxed with the presentation of award of excellence to those who distinguished themselves  in the programme, which was done in three different categories for aviation security officers, fire officers and the parade commanders.
The FAAN boss also re-assured that the authority would continue to invest in human resources and capacity development.
