…As Warmate Urges Participation

As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) commences revalidation exercise next week Thursday, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Council, Hon Wright Promise Warmate, called on the people of the local government who have not registered to make themselves available for the exercise.
Warmate, who made the appeal in an interview with The Tide while reacting to the move by INEC to commence registration on voters card next week, urged the people to realize that their voters card is the only weapon to vote in the right candidate for any elections.
The council boss noted that Rivers State is witnessing transformations in the twenty three (23) local government areas because the people insisted for a credible leader in the person of Chief Barrister Nyesom Wike.
According to him,’’ if they do not go out and register, they may not have the opportunity to vote in the right person for leadership positions.
He assured that his administration at the local government will continue to provide the essential needs of the people in line with the vision and mission of Wike led transformation agenda in the state.
Warmate assured that the council would assist the commission to ensure that the exercise is successful in the local government area, adding that those who have not register should not hesitate to do as the exercise commences next week
According to him, the council is committed to ensuring that every eligible voter is not denied their franchise right hence the period given for the exercise by INEC should be adhered to by the people.
He commended the people for the support given to the present administration in the state, adding that this is testimony that they are happy with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor Wike’s transformation agenda.
