Police Nab Six Armed Robbery Suspects

police command has arrested six members of a notorious armed robbery gang that had  been terrorising citizens of Opanda, Nimbo and Adani Axis of Uzo- Uwani local government Area of Enugu state and environ.
They were nabbed  following useful information received by police at the Adani Division of the state command.
The state Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, Ebere Amarizu, said in Enugu yesterday that the suspects “were nabbed in the early hours of September 9, 2016.
“The suspects who gave their names as Ernest Umeh,Okwudili Ugwuoke,Sunday Agbo,Arinze Agu,Ezeata Ugochukwu,Arinze Agu and Nnamdi ojobo are now helping the police in their investigations in their alleged nefarious activities.”
According to the PPRO, the bandits have been engaging in various crimes including armed robbery and burglary.
“Manhunt on the remaining gang members have been intensified.
“Recovered from the suspects, includes, cut to size locally made gun, two short axes and some exhibits like TV Set, standing fan, DVD, six handsets, which they carted away from their victims.
Amarizu, said leader of the gang who gave his name as Ernest Umeh,  had regretted every bit of their action and blamed it on act of devil.
However, the state Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Ojukwu, has applauded the effort of his men that led the operation and the synergy between the command and members of the community.
He said the Enugu State Police Command under his watch would continue to partner communities, sister security agencies as well as all relevant stakeholders to ensure a safe and secure environment.
