Amaechi, God-Sent Leader – Councillors Forum
The Forum of Councillors
representing Omoku in the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Legislative Assembly has described Governor Amaechi as a God-sent leader for the people of Rivers State and the South-South geo-political zone.
Speaking on behalf of the five councillors during the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward Congress in the area, Hon. Kingsley Woko who represents Ward II Omoko in the legislative assembly, attributed the success of the congress to the leadership qualities of Governor Amaechi.
He said that councillors of the five wards in the area are happy over the peaceful conduct and massive turn-out of the people, stressing that it was a testimony to the strategic and purposeful planning by Governor Amaechi.
Also speaking a former Education Supervisor in the Old ALGA and an APC stalwart in the area, Elder (Hon.) Emmanuel Osi commended Governor Amaechi for his foresight in taking Rivers State to the All Progressive Congress (APC) which he said will control the Federal Government in 2015.
Elder Osi who also commended the Governor for reconstructing the Omoku internal roads, said that the period of butter and bread politics was gone, pointing out that what was needed at the moment was a transformational brand of politics that would change the lives of the people and society.
He argued that the sooner Rivers people shun the politics of sentiment, the better for the State, noting that Governor Amaechi transformational agenda was being felt across the State.
The APC stalwart also condemned the wanton destruction of properties at the APC office, Omoku by suspected political thugs and urged political party leaderships to advise their supporters against violence.
Also speaking, a former councillor in the area, Hon. Azu Ogbowu urged the people to support and vote for APC in all elections.

Rivers Judiciary Denies Issuing Court Order Stopping SOLAD from Swearing in RSCSC Members
The Rivers State Judiciary has denied a media report claiming that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction order restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating the newly appointed members of the Rivers State Civil Service Commission (RSCSC).
In a statement issued by the Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of litigation at the High Court, Menenen Poromon (Esq), the state Judiciary disassociated itself from the report, describing it as malicious and fabricated.
The statement emphasized that the report was a falsehood and a misrepresentation of what transpeared in the court.
Poromon clarified that no such order was issued by Justice Onyiri or any other judge of the High Court of the state and urged the public to disregard the information, as it lacked any iota of truth.
The statement however advised the public to verify any information concerning the state Judiciary directly from the office of the Chief Registrar, High Court of the State, to avoid spreading of misinformation.
