Bayelsa Earmarks N500m For Property Compensation


The Bayelsa State
Government has earmarked the sum of N500 million for payment of compensation to property owners whose houses were demolished by the state government for the construction of a flyover.
The state Governor, Seriaki Dickson, who disclosed this to journalists in Yenagoa last Friday, said that all those whose properties were demolished due to the construction of the flyover in the state capital would be compensated.
He said verification and valuation exercise would be completed to ascertain the worth of properties to be compensated for, and assured that those affected would be adequately compensated.
