Flood Victims Get Farm Input


The management of Raymons Guanah Farms last week presented farm inputs to farmers  affected by the recent flood in Patani Local Government  Area of Delta.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the farms, Mr. Raymons Guanah,  who made the presentation in Patani, said that the donation was part of efforts toward alleviating the suffering of farmers during the flooding.

Our correspondent reports that the farm inputs donated  include : 1,000 plantain suckers, 2,500 pineapple suckers, 5,000 fingerlings and 400 kg of rice seedlings for planting.

Dr. Chris Ekiyor, who received the items onbehalf of the transition committee for the local government area, thanked  the management  of the farms for the kind gesture.

While stating that the contribution was timely and would be a morale booster for the farmers, Ekiyor promised that the inputs would be properly distributed to the affected farmers.
