Look to your health; and if you have it, praise God and value it next to conscience; for health is the second blessing that we mortals are capable of, a blessing money can't buy.

The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has named Mr Biggs, a foremost fast food company in Nigeria, Team Nigeria’s official Food Partner for the forthcoming London 2012 Olympics.

The NOC’s first Vice President, Jonathan Nnaji, who announced this at a news conference, in Lagos, commended the company for its support to Team Nigeria.

Nnaji said that the support would help to ensure Team Nigeria’s success at the Games.

According to him, Mr Biggs’ support is worthy of emulation by other corporate bodies and individuals to guarantee Nigeria’s success.

The Divisional Managing Director, UAC Restaurants, Derrick Van Houten, said that Mr Biggs, a fast food brand under the UAC, was delighted to partner the NOC.

“Mr Biggs identifies the need to partner with and support the NOC in its strategic drive to build a winning Nigerian Team for the Olympic event,” Houten said.

He said that the partnership was driven by the brand’s commitment to being an integral part of Nigerians and the Nigerian society in all ramifications.

According to him, the company’s chain, comprising more than 170 restaurants, is currently being used to sell the NOC’s ‘Support Team Nigeria Promotion’ tickets.

The managing director said that the promotion would take some Nigerians to the UK to watch the Games.

Houten said that the company would support the athletes till the end of the Games, stressing that Team Nigeria, as well as their families and friends, would enjoy Mr Biggs’ free meals.

“The NOC will also have 50 members have the pleasure of having Mr Biggs’ free meal voucher at the Games,” he added.

Houten further said that there would also be made available communication materials to boost the morale of the athletes participating in the Olympics.
