CPC Tasks Political Parties On Education

The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) has emphasised the need for every political party to educate its members on the election process and how to conduct themselves orderly during elections.

The National Secretary of the party, Malam Buba Galadima, made this known in an interview with newsmen in Abuja.

He said, “it is necessary for political parties to genuinely train their members and supporters on how to vote correctly during elections to ensure that their votes are neither nullified nor wasted during the election”.

Galadima urged INEC to be transparent, neutral and honest while conducting any level of election, and said that its officers should desist from nonchalant attitude during electoral processes.

“INEC should do self-examination to prove to Nigerians that they are transparent, neutral, and honest”, he said.

The national secretary frowned at the recently approved N2.6 billion by the Federal Government for INEC to produce permanent voter’s card, adding that it was a waste of und.

He pointed out that the Direct Data Capturing (DDC) Machine was enough to take care of the elections.

“There are data base machines in INEC that have the finger print of every Nigerian who registered to vote, we do not need to spend so much money to procure permanent voters card”
