OBALGA Chairman Sues For Peace


Obio / Akpor Local Government Council has appealed to all Nigerians to work co-operatively and pursue the ideals of democracy to justify the indivisibility of Nigeria as a nation.

The chairman of the council, Prince Timothy Nsirim made this appeal while marking the 51st Independence Anniversary             at  the council   headquarters in  Rumuodomaya.

Hon Nsirim stated that the desire of leaders and people of Nigeria, should be to re-awaken consciousness, towards religious, economic, political and prosperity of people, noting that the enormous task of  nation building rested greatly on the promises made to the citizenry.

He re-affirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that human capacity development, education, job creation and development in health and security were given priority in the scheme of things.

The OBALGA chairman called for a change of attitude on the part of everyone so that the purpose of our founding fathers for a greater Nigeria would be realised.

In his vote of thanks, the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Solomon Eke thanked the Almighty God, for a successful celebration and urged Nigerians to critically assess their performance since independence, and appealed to the youths to be disciplined and law abiding.
