A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the Port Harcourt Federal Constituency II, Mr. Perkins Nnokam has pledged to create employment opportunities for youths of the constituency if elected.
Nnokam, who said this in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt said that youths of the constituency need economic empowerment as most of them are languishing in abject poverty.
The aspirant also pledged to hold regular consultation with the people with a view to channelling their problems to the government.
He further promised to ensure that peace reigns in the constituency, as youths will be positively engaged.
According to him, enlightened and self made people like him need to be given the opportunity to serve the people.
Nnokam used the occasion to deny insinuations that the PDP has endorsed candidate for the constituency, pointing out that as far as he is concerned, no body has been endorsed.
He, however, stressed the need for a level playing field for every aspirant in the constituency.
