The National Association of Nigeria Students, Rivers State University of Science and Technology Chapter, has elected new executive to run its Students Union Government.
In a keenly contested election, Comrade Chris Wonu, a 400-level Law Student, emerged as the president with 23 votes.
Others, polled 20 and 9 votes respectively. The election The Tide On Sunday gathered, had 20 delegates each from the seven faculties of the university.
The Campus Insight also learnt that about 77 votes were voided due to some irregularities.
Campus Insight was further told that Comrade Wonu was the first law student to win SUG election in the school for over ten years.
Our checks revealed that the SUG election in recent times has only been a fight between the engineering and management science students due to their numbers.
