Campus  Insight  gathered that they did it by swearing to an affidavit in a law court, and many who complained about the  action.

The directive to the staff to renounce membership of  any secret cult was contained in a circular dated April 21, 2010.

The statement was signed by the deputy registrar, Academics, Mr G.E. Ihionkhan.

“The Academic Board at its 141 regular meeting held on Thursday, April 20, 2010, deliberated on the renouncing of membership of secret cult (s) by some staff and students of the polytechnic.

“The board unanimously agreed that members of secret cults by staff and students were inimical to the growth  and development of the polytechnic” the statement reads.
