Access Bank Drives Market By Volume


At the end of transactions on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange Friday, Access Bank led the market by volume.

The bank led the top 10 chart after trading a total of 24,246,488 shares worth N35.3 million in 237 deals.

Diamond Bank followed when a total of 13,173,522 shares worth N124.9 million in 102 deals was bought by investors.

FCMB also made the top  10 by volume chart with the sale of 14,365,557 shares worth N129.7 million in 129 deals.

First Bank was the next on the list, trading a total of 25,007,080 shares worth N394.6 million in 976 deals.

On Thursday, First Bank also made the top 10 by volume chart with the sale of 24,081,670 shares worth N380.1 million in 772 deals.

Also Guaranty Trust Bank sold a total of 13,468,479 shares worth N263.9 million in 496 deals.

The bank, the previous day appeared on the list, when a total of 20,741,547 shares worth N400.6 million in 571 deals was bought by investors.

UBA showed up on the top 10 y volume chart with a total of 42,888,373 shares worth N637.8 million in 255 deals.

The bank also made it to the table on Thursday trading a total of 25,313,741 shares worth N374.3 million in 268 deals.
