The Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) in Warri, Delta State has formally admitted its new students.
Speaking at the event which attracted dignitaries across the country, the Acting Principal/Chief Executive of the Institute, Dr. R.E. Akpojivi told the new students that the institute was established by the Federal Government by Act No. 37 of 1992 as amended by Act No. 52 of 1975 to train and develop technicians for the Petroleum industry.
He informed them that the institute does not compromise on examination misconduct as it is better to repeat or carry over courses than be expelled.
The Principal equally advised the students to shun acts inimical to their future as ambassadors of the people and the country at large.
The PTI campus was immediately engulfed in celebration as the students left PTI Stadium to their different fellowships where music, foods and drinks were made available.
Indeed, the event was a blissful day and would ever remain vivid in the memory of the new students as their friends and families were there to rejoice with them.
