On Saturday, December 19, 2009, the wife of Eze Ekpeye Logbo II of Ekpeyeland, Her Majesty Dr. (Mrs) Felicia Fuamilayo Robinson (JP) will be celebrating her 60th Birthday Anniversary at the Royal Palace at Odiereke- Ubie, Ahoada-West Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Her Majesty  Felicia Funmilayo Robinson (JP), the Ununwe-Wheshi-Eze  Ekpeye Logbo of Ekpeye land,  as born on the 16th  August, 1949, in Lagos, into the Christian family of Prophet Joseph E. Odoyi and Mrs. Angelina Izeokpe Odoyi (both of blessed memory) of Ubarama and Ihuechi communities in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State respectively.

She had her primary and post-primary education in Lagos where she excelled as one of the best students. She worked briefly with Hughs King (Nig.) Limited and Decca (West) Africa, Lagos, and served as the Secretary to the Managing  Director.

‘Gold fish’, the saying goes, ‘has no hiding place.’ It was no surprise that the young, tall, handsome and athletic military officer, Ft Lt.  Robinson O. Robinson had no difficulty in identifying the Lagos-born beautiful and promising, young Ekpeye pearl, Felicia and sought her hand in marriage. The marriage was consummated in 1970 amidst pomp and pageantry.

She travelled to Western Germany in 1972, and was admitted in Bavarian Institute for Data Processing & Business Studies, where she graduated in HND Computer Science (System Analyst) and Business Management.

She returned to Nigeria to the waiting hands of her husband in November, 1977, and worked briefly with the Rivers State Minisny of  Finance & Economic Planning at the Computer Section. Her husband, Flt Lt. Robinson O. Robinson was crowned the Eze Ekpeye Logbo II of Ekpeye land and as the wife of the Eze, the Ekpeye tradition and custom forbid the Ununwe-wheshi-Eze Ekpeye Logbo of  Ekpeyeland to work and subject herself to the order or instructions of any other person other than her husband (The King) and the Almighty God. She therefore, had to quit her job with the Ministry to become full time housewife and business woman.

Thus, on leaving the Civil Service, she held the following appointments:

.Member: Ekpeye District Primary School Committee (1980 – 1981)

·           Member: Ekpeye District Co-ordination Committee (1981-1983)

·           Board Member: Rivers State Tourism Board (Zoo Development Committee) (1997 – 1999)

·           She is the founde/President of· the Non-Governmental Organization, Daughters of Charity & Compassion. As a private business person, she is the MD/CEO of Omni Oil (Nig.) Limited, Rofel & Robert (Nig.) Limited, and Jurak Oil Services Limited.

. Mother of the year 2006 by the Diocese of Ahoada (Anglican Communion)

(Mr) Felicia Funmilayo Robinson means different things to different persons. To her beloved husband, the Eze Ekpeye Lobgo, she is a caring, visionary and wonderful ‘help meet’ divinely packaged to meet all his needs. To her children, she is a loving mother and a disciplinarian.

To the generality of Ekpeye people she is a Queen who is unassuming and willing to share in their pains and joy. To her staff she is a hard working, self-reliant and consistent personality. Yet, to those intimately close to her and the needy in our society, she is a philanthropist, benevolent and a peace-loving mother who is ready to share her blessings with others.

It is amazing to note that Her Royal Majesty’s privileged parental background, educational and early exposure to the westem civilization rather than becoming an offset within the circle of rural culture and poverty, was indeed great asset and treasure in that it enabled her the latitude to midwife reformation with her own modest means and to transform many rural people to limelight, a dream she cherished and has fulfillment in.

She had disclosed to a few associates that it was God that chose her husband to be the Eze Ekpeye Lobgo of Ekpeye land. Many also believe it was also a divine arrangement that she should be the Queen and become the traditional First Lady and mother of Ekpeye people, knowing what substance she was born with, a peculiar humane nature that has endeared her to the hearts of her folks in Ekpeye land and Nigeria.

Her marriage is blessed with three biological children and many foster children. She remains a shining example of what a true mother and indeed the EVITA of Ekpeye Kingdom should be. Her hobbies include; reading and listening to music.
