Uniport SUG President Wants Govt. To Fish Out Perpetrators


President of the university of Port Harcourt student Union Government Comrade Solomon Amadi has called on the Rivers State government to fish out criminal elements behind the invasion of Uniport premises by ex-militants over the weekend.
Comrade Amadi made the call over the weekend at Aluta House, Abuja campus while speaking with newsmen.
The students leader described last weekend’s looting and raping of Uniport students as a shameful at that shouldn’t be surept under the carpet.
Noting that Uniport students will never be coccid to take laws into their hands, no matter the provocation by ex-militants.
According to Comrade Amadi, the crude oil against Uniport students by common criminals over the weekend is an indelible injury to all Uniport students”, law abiding citizens, we have protested to the appropriate authorities, and it is expected that criminals elements behind lost week attack on our students shall be death with accordingly,” he asserted.
Also reacting, comrade Horsfal Dakuku, a 3 level student of computer science says “last weekend cruel invasion of our campuses by common criminals has destabilized us. And we never wanted to take laws into our hands that is rational behind the protest to Government House”, he added.
Another respondent, Gabriel Friday also said “we are often on the loosing side, recently our Wali was Chief Security Officer, Mr. Wali was gunned down while discharging official duty by yet to be identified gun men. Professor Ndimele’s premises were also invalided, and others too numerous to mention. Our lecturers are leaving in fear, we can’t fake. This any more”, he said.
He also called on government at all levels to relocate ex-militants dwelling among the students.
