Domestic airlines now operating into Amiro Kano International Airport, Kano, have increased with the commencement of sheduled flights from Lagos, Abuja to Kano by Dana Airline.
Before now, Bellview airlines, Arik Air, Virgin Nigeria Airways and IRS airlines were regularly operating to the airport.
However, the airlines have a combined landing and take off of 8 frequencies which now increased to 10.

He said people travel a lot in and out of Kano, stating that, with a lot of awareness by the airline, more people will decide to travel by air.
According to him, there are options now with some coming and going direct from Lagos Kano and other connecting from and to Abuja.
Rimi noted that, Kano airport was noted and known for large activities and flight operations both locally and internationally until the down trend in the economy.
He, however, expressed happiness that flight operations are returning now.
