Post-UME Exam: FUTA Screens Candidates


The Senate of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, has adopted the proposal on the use of Electronic Testing for the Post-UME Screening Exercise for the 2009/2010 session admissions.

Consequently, the electronic testing for the Post-UME and Direct Entry candidates would commence on Wednesday, October 28 with the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology, while candidates in the School of Sciences would have theirs on Thursday, October 29.

The School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology, School of Earth and Mineral Sciences, School of Environmental Technology and the School of Management Technology would have their own on Friday, October 30, while Saturday, October 31, 2009 would be for Mop-Up for Direct Entry candidates.

According to statement signed by Mr. Omololu Adegbenro, the university’s Deputy Registrar for Information, Protocol and Passages, all candidates who made FUTA either their first or second choice will get full details in the university’s website.

Meanwhile, Senate has also approved that the present set of students undergoing pre-degree/diploma programmes should be screened for admission into the prograrnmes for the 2009/2010 academic session. They would write the examinations in their respective outstanding subjects.

Sales of pre-degree and diploma forms for the 2009/2010 academic session would continue till November 20 and December 13 respectively.

All applicants for the pre-degree programme would be subjected to electronic screening on December 4 and 5, 2009, while applicants for the diploma programme would take theirs on January 9,2010.
