Bauchi Creates New Residential Layouts


The Bauchi State Ministry of Lands and Survey has created five new residential layouts in Bauchi metropolis as part of efforts to decongest the city.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mohammed Yunusa made this known on Tuesday in Bauchi while speaking in an interview with newsmen.
Yunusa said the layouts were strategically located to foster contiguous development of the state capital.
He said the layouts were located on Gombe Road, Ningi/Kano Road Wuntin Dada Miri on Jos Road as well as Birshin Fulani on Dass Road.
Yunusa said the layouts were carved out to provide land for those wishing to build houses in the metropolis.
The permanent secretary, who said the ministry would also carve out layouts at Azare, added that a site had been identified for survey in the town.
He said when compensation is paid to the land owners, the plots would be allocated to individuals and organisations to build houses.
Yunusa said government would actively participate in mass housing scheme of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, adding that it would do so by collaborating with private companies.
