RSFCA Organises Refresher Seminar For Coaches
The Vice Chairman of the Rivers State Football Coaches Association (RSFCA) Raphael Akunna has said that the essence of the one day seminar was to update coaches with new rules and techniques.
He noted that most coaches at the grassroots have no coaching certificate, lack some new techniques and rules of the game.
Akunna said this in an interview with Sports journalists at the just concluded one day seminar organised by the association tagged “Training The Trainers 2025 at the Yakubo Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt Rivers State, recently.
He expressed joy over the hitchfree one day seminar saying that they planned organise three seminars this year and this was the first.
” We thank God because everything went on according to our plans, when this year started we planned to organise three seminars for the year and this was the first one.
“Most of this our grassroots coaches have no certificates and have not attended any training before but with this seminar they will be able to get new basic knowledge of the game.
” You know football today is dynamic so we want our State coaches to be updated with the new techniques”, Akunna said.
He used the medium to encourage other grassroots coaches in the State that have not registered with the association to do so.
