APC PRIMARIES: FUBARA’S WITHDRAWAL, HISTORIC SACRIFICE FOR NATIONAL STABILITY ……. GROUP
The Asiwaju Trumpets Support Group, has described the withdrawal of Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, from the just concluded All Progrssives Congress (APC) governorship primary election as a profound historic sacrifice for national stability.
The group made the remark while rounding off its 5-day prayer chain and a 2-day absolute fast across Rivers State.
Speaking from the Port Harcourt liaison office, the National Coordinator, Hon. Abdul-Hameed Alli (Mr. Nigeria), said the move was an answer to the prayers of the group’s quest for peace in the state’s political landscape.
Mr Alli stated that the group’s supplications were specifically anchored on ‘Divine Intervention and Continuous Peace’ in the state.
In his words “We went spiritual because we wanted God to take control of Rivers State. Governor Fubara’s decision to step aside to preserve the peace, unity, and stability of the party and the state is a direct product of divine wisdom.
“He has proven himself to be a leader who puts the people first. Our ‘No Shaking’ resolve remains intact, and in alignment with the Governor’s directive, we stand ready to support the supremacy of the party and whoever emerges from… primaries to deliver victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
The group confirmed that it would still proceed with presenting its Governor of the Year 2025 Award and the special peace edition of the Asiwaju Trumpets Magazine to the Governor, celebrating him not just as an administrator, but as a true statesman of peace.
