According to him , “It is a great one.No organisation operates without law and order, hence, it is not out of place. When OSPAC started on June 14, 2014, nobody knew it will come to this height. Now people are coming from all parts of Rivers State and even beyond to learn from the operatives of the outfit. Without OSPAC, we would have still been in the land of Egypt, because of their efforts, we are today out of Egypt. We are proud of their achievements ,” he said.
Speaking, the chairman of the occasion, Dr Christian Ojiba said having a rule that will guide OSPAC’s activities is important.
Dr.Ojiba, former OSPAC Commander said the Constitution will serve the entire members of the group in Rivers State and beyond.
The former OSPAC commander narrated how it was impossible to drive through East – West Road if not for the swift intervention of OSPAC.
He hinted the role OSPAC played in restoring peace to the area, leading to their engagement by other local government areas in the State.
“There was a time East-West Road axis was impossible to drive on, but as OSPAC intervened, peace was restored which motivated other local government areas in Rivers State to engage their services. Today, no LGA will say it has not felt the impact of OSPAC. So having a working document binding every member is important,” he said.
He said the implementation is key to achieving the desired goal.
Earlier, the chief host and General Commander of OSPAC, Commander Emeka Onyeocha said OSPAC will not deviate from its core mandate which is sanitising the area.
