CAFCC: Our Inability To Convert Chances Denied Us Victory- Eguma
The Technical Manager of Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt, Stanley Eguma has expressed disappointment over his team’s inability to convert their chances against Dream FC of Ghana in the second game of group C in the CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC) last Sunday.
He believes that they will come back stronger after suffering the 2-1 defeat in Ghana, adding that they will correct the mistakes in their next encounter.
Eguma who said this shortly after the game in Kumasi noted that his team played better but was unable to convert its chances created.
“We missed chances in the game but we will correct the errors before our next encounter. They (Dream FC) got their chances and converted them, especially in the first half. We had a load of chances in the second half but unfortunately, we couldn’t convert those chances.
“I think we have to go back and work on grey areas and come back stronger in the next game,”Eguma said.
Rivers United will welcome group leaders, Club Africain of Tunisia in their next game this Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
