A socio-political group in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, “Ida Obolo For Sim”, has drummed support for the Governor-elect of Rivers State, Sir Siminalaye Fubara.
The group, consisting of friends, like-minds, acquaintances and well-wishers of Sir Amaospusenibo Siminialayi Joseph Fubara also commended Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike for ensuring the emergence of Sir Fubara as the Governor-Elect.

The Leader of the group, Hon. Kingston Sylvanus said the Governor—elect is the best choice for Rivers people.
Sylvanus noted that the in-coming Governor is known for his silent achievements and as someone who sincerely loves Rivers State, her people,z and Nigeria at large.
“Thank you Your Excellency, for allowing God use you to give Rivers people the very best in the person and personality of Amaopusenibo Siminialayi Joseph Fubara, for the consolidation of the New Rivers Vision as your parting gift.
“Your Excellency, Sir, we dare to boldly say that you are not only correct in your choice and backing of the aspirations and ambition of the Governor-elect, but that you sincerely love the growth and development of Rivers State”, he said.
He added that the people of Andoni Local Government Area see Sir Fubara as “the light and hope of the downtrodden and helpless Andoni people, and much more as their son, true brother and dependable neighbour”.
The Ida Obolo For Sim group further described the in-coming government as the birthing of fresh breath in Andoni politics that will bring deliverance to the land and her people.
“Today, just as we use this medium to thank you and your dogged team, the indefatigable PDP family in Rivers State and Campaign Council, we also want to inform you that we have equally flagged off our thank you visit to the people of Andoni to appreciate them for their overwhelming support”, he said.
He said, “they have visited before the elections, community to community, to campaign and canvass for their support, and promised to come back and thank them if they vote for Sir Fubara and our National and State Assembly candidates – Sen. Barry Mpigi for Senate, Hon. Abiante Dagomie for House of Representatives, and Hon. Ofiks Kagbang for House of Assembly”.
Also speaking, the Member Representing Andoni/Opobo-Nkoro Federal Constituency, Hon. Awaji-Inombek Dagomie Abiante, stated that the people are happy that Fubara would continue and complete projects already going on in the area.
“We all know that governance is a continuous process. We have arrived where we are today and we are grateful to God that the Governor-elect will continue from where our brother and leader, His Excellency, Nyesom Wike has stopped.
“We are not in doubt that whatever is being in process will be moved beyond whatever level it would have been”, he said.
Abiante further called on all stakeholders of the community to synergies and bring to the table their desires and expectations going forward into the incoming administration.
