MOSIEND Hails DELGA Chair Over Inclusive Leadership
The Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND), Oba-Ama (Bakana) Clan, in Rivers State has applauded the leadership style of the Executive Chairman of Degema Local Government Area, Hon. Michael John Williams.
The socio-cultural organisation also expressed its appreciation for what they called the Chairman’s “policy direction”.
A statement by the Chairman of MOSIEND, Oba-Ama (Bakana) Clan, Comrade Blessing Braide, in Port Harcourt, lauded the DELGA Chairman’s leadership drive.
According to the statement, “Hon. Williams’ administration has been firmly etched on the tenets of true local government administration, democratic participation, transparency, inclusiveness, and a deep connection to the grassroots.
“His open-door policy and unwavering commitment to policies that directly impact the lives of ordinary people have brought a refreshing wave of governance to the LGA.
“Under his stewardship, Degema Local Government Area has witnessed a significant boost in infrastructure, youth empowerment initiatives, educational support, healthcare interventions, and community security, all of which are signs of a visionary leader deeply in tune with the aspirations of his people.”
The statement continued to that “His transformative approach has not only improved public trust in local governance, but has also laid a strong foundation for accelerated development.
“It is in recognition of these achievements that we warmly congratulate Hon. Williams on his well-deserved reelection for a second term.
“His return is a testament to the confidence the people of Degema have in his leadership and the tangible progress his administration has delivered.”
MOSIEND used the opportunity to “call on all sons and daughters of Degema LGA to rally around the chairman and other elected officials to foster peace, unity, and accelerated socio-economic development across all communities.
“We reiterate our unflinching support for the Executive Chairman and urge him to sustain the momentum in his second tenure, focusing on deepening local content, expanding economic opportunities, and building resilient communities for a prosperous Degema.”
