CAF Officer Eyes NFF Presidency

Head of Safety and Security, Confederation of African Football, Dr Christian Emeruwa, has officially declared his intention to contest for the presidency of the Nigeria Football Federation, The Tidesports source reports.
The current president of the football federation, Amaju Pinnick, announced in April he would not be running for a third term.
Pinnick became the first NFF boss to serve two terms in office after being re-elected in 2018 and with another election just around the corner, the FIFA Council member stated that family pressure led to his decision to step down.
Emeruwa said after several consultations with stakeholders, he decided to run for the position.
He wrote on FUBS, “Ladies and Gentlemen, good morning to you all. I wish to inform you all that I have decided that I will contest for the position of President, Nigeria Football Federation in the forthcoming election.”
